Our client is seeking a motivated and highly skilled Production Design Engineer to join their production team. They are a well-established electronics manufacturer based in the High Wycombe area.
Key Responsibilities- Developing work procedures and issuing detailed work instructions.
- Reviewing printed circuit board (PCB) designs.
- Programming SMT pick and place machines.
- Designing and assembling test jigs for productions.
- Troubleshooting production issues and identifying solutions.
- Liaising with product designers as required.
- Monitoring equipment functionality and resolving or escalating any performance issues.
- Diagnosing and fault-finding failed devices.
- Experience working in electronic production.
- A strong understanding of electronic circuits.
- Knowledge and experience in PCB design/layout.
- Previous experience with SMT/pick-and-place machinery.
- The ability to fault-find down to the component level.
- Ideally, an engineering qualification.
A salary of £35,000 - £50,000 is offered, depending on skills and experience.
