Senior Technical Manager

Manage all aspects of the technical delivery of new build housing developments in conjunction with the Engineering manager and other departments.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Work within the technical function of the business, focusing on residential projects for our Bristol, Exeter, and Cornwall offices.
  • Report to the Regional Senior Management Team, specifically the Head of Technical.
  • Manage the design process for design and build contracts, and traditional contracts.
  • Act as the primary contact for the design teams, supply chain partners, and project stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Facilitate design workshops to develop the project in a cost-effective manner while retaining design intent.
  • Manage compliance checks against specifications, budgets, and client requirements.
  • Advise on the cost-effectiveness of alternative methods of construction.
  • Coordinate the design information supplied to/from our construction division, including the project supply chain.
  • Manage design output to agreed programmes.
  • Liaise with Local Authorities, Statutory Authorities, Building Control, Building Warranty Providers, and Planning Departments.
