As a Senior Cost Manager, you will be working on exciting projects while developing your skill set both operationally and technically. Our client is keen to support those who are driven to progress their careers and can offer excellent training, advancement in qualifications, and opportunities to diversify your portfolio.

Job Objectives:
  • Establishing friendly, professional, and appropriate relationships with clients, colleagues, and other parties involved in the projects and programmes being supported.
  • Administering a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.
  • Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion in line with budget.
  • Proactively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
  • Managing contract change effectively, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practices.
  • Driving improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
  • Proactively providing sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed upon.
  • Leading people and commissions as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Contract Management (NEC 3 or 4, Option C preferred)
  • You will ideally be working for a Construction Consultancy, Contractor or working directly for a client focussing on projects in the Infrastructure sector (for example: Power/ Nuclear, Renewables, Utilities, Highways, Rail, Aviation) or Defence
  • Experience in: Cost Management, Change Management and Control, Valuation, Risk Management, Procurement
  • Ideally Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
