Works Manager – Communications, Signalling

This role is a direct report to the Head of Infrastructure Works Delivery and is responsible for leading the Communications, Signalling and Electrical (C,S&E) team. The team is primarily focused on the safe and successful delivery of capital funded planned construction and engineering railway infrastructure asset renewals but can also at times be called upon to assist in reactive circumstances. This leadership role provides expertise and guidance for the team and ensures that high quality work is delivered on time and to budget, but with safety always being our ultimate priority.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. You will have an HNC or higher qualification in a relevant engineering subject, have excellent planning and organisation skills and the ability to prioritise workload with a high level of attention to detail.
  2. You will have proven experience in leading and managing a team with excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
  3. You will have a strong understanding of safety, quality, environmental and technical standards and you will have the ability to work autonomously and show initiative in decision-making and problem solving.

A full driving licence is essential.
