Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the allocation and data entry of purchase order numbers relating to work instructions to contractors.
  • Challenging supplier costs and ability to negotiate prices.
  • Investigate and resolve queries relating to outstanding work instructions.
  • Maintain and update spreadsheet records.
  • Assist with telephone enquiries.
  • Provide administrative support to Fleet department colleagues.
  • Managing defects and organising repairs with onsite technicians.
  • Entering service dates and information on the maintenance system.
  • Liaising with traffic operators on maintenance bookings/breakdowns.
  • Undertake special projects as and when directed.
  • Planning and scheduling vehicle and trailer maintenance.
Person Specification:
  • Experience of working within Transport/Traffic Office.
  • Vehicle maintenance and fleet management would be preferable.
  • Good understanding of Math's and English.
  • Confident IT user.
  • Knowledge of excel spreadsheets.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work with all types of personalities.
  • Flexible and reliable.
  • Possess a "can do attitude".
Working Hours:
  • 48 basic hours according to a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
  • Some Saturday morning work is required as directed by business needs.
