Head of Sales Designate

North Lanarkshire | £65,000 + £6,000 car allowance | Office-based with flexibility

This is a commercially focused business development role for someone who enjoys being hands-on — shaping the strategy, then delivering it themselves. You'll join a well-established engineering manufacturer with strong client relationships and a solid track record across the UK and internationally. Under new leadership, the business is investing in its commercial future — and this role will play a key part in that growth.

This isn't about managing a large team or spending your life on the road. It's about combining your technical sales experience with commercial thinking to drive new business, open up underdeveloped sectors, and handle tendering and pricing opportunities directly.

You'll manage a small internal sales team and play a key role in mentoring and supporting their development — but your core focus will be on generating new opportunities and converting them. It's a blank canvas — one where your ideas, your experience, and your way of working will shape the direction of the commercial function.

This would suit someone with a background in technical or industrial sales who's looking for more ownership, more influence, and a clear opportunity to build something of their own — without the red tape of larger corporates.
