Account Director, Senior Account Director or Business Director (Sustainability) – Maternity Cover – Creative agency - to £75k

Strategic creative agency specialising in climate, environment and sustainability seeks Account Director, Senior Account Director or Business Director for maternity cover starting at the beginning of July for 6-8 months.

Experience of working on sustainability client projects is essential for this extremely rare opportunity.

The agency is flexible on level so you could be an Account Director, Senior Account Director or Business Director to qualify. Getting the right individual is key for this close-knit team.

The option of a 4-day week is also available if you are at Senior Account Director or Business Director level.

The role

This small but perfectly formed team punches well above its weight with a start-up mentality. They all muck in together so, regardless of your level, the role will be hands on.

The agency

As one of the very first agencies to build credible marketing campaigns with brilliant creative in this purpose-led space, this ambitious agency has some great clients and a wide portfolio but only work with brands and businesses who want to create positive change in the world.

That can cover a broad spectrum of topics like halting and reversing deforestation, transitioning to clean energy, striving for net zero and supporting our natural world.

Launched in 2020, the agency is the 'green' arm of an expanding marketing group which comprises 14 agencies in total including a digital and direct shop and advertising agency. There are 350 people all under one roof in buzzing Covent Garden and resources and expertise are shared.

The agency produces creative campaigns, comms and strategies for NGOs (generally non-profit groups), big brands and commercial businesses within the sphere of climate, environment and sustainability.

What's required
  1. Extremely safe pair of hands; a charismatic, proactive team player
  2. Experience in sustainability / environmental / climate change campaigns
  3. Running multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously
  4. Client partnership skills – providing confidence and a positive experience
  5. Working in a small, family-like team
  6. Commercial acumen – making sometimes tight project budgets stretch
  7. Multi-channel project experience – film, print, events, digital, social…
  8. Outstanding communications skills
  9. The ability to write well, to make a case clearly, to structure thinking and put all of this into a coherent, elegant and persuasive presentation – these skills are hugely valued and absolutely necessary for the role
The work

Anything from big creative campaigns, film, event materials, digital comms, press, branding, websites to thought leadership content. No two days – or projects – are ever the same.

Salary and benefits

The salary is up to £75k depending on level and experience. The agency works in a hybrid model of 4 days in the office each month (two days every other week), but this may change in the coming months to be a little more office based.
