Title: Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer

Role Overview:

To carry out repairs and service in occupied and/or empty properties in a courteous and polite manner, ensuring that all aspects of work are finished to a high standard, and within targets set by the client.

General Duties/Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake all work in accordance with Health & Safety and Gas Safety Regulations, risk assessing work and working environments before starting any works to avoid damages or injuries.
  • Carry out repairs to heating and plumbing systems achieving the company target of 90% First time fix.
  • Meet target times on allocated calls, with an average minimum of 8 per day, escalating delays to call handlers to ensure the client/customer/resident is kept fully informed.
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance, according to the high standards of Sureserve Compliance Central, ensuring correct parts are identified and obtained.
  • Maintain accurate records of work undertaken, including the materials used, recording this on the company’s IT system.
  • Keep allocated company vehicles clean and tidy at all times, safeguarding and managing a designated van stock, ensuring levels are maintained and that any waste is disposed of according to Company & HSE regulations.
  • Work flexibly, with the possibility of work outside normal working hours depending on the needs of the business.
  • Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach, ensuring full Sureserve Compliance Central uniform is always worn.
  • Report vulnerabilities or concerns to management for escalation.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by your Line Manager.

Requirements:

  • ACS - HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT, CCN1
  • Passport Bio Data
  • Clean DBS/DL
  • Driver’s License
  • Minimum of 3 years experience; social housing experience is highly desirable.
