Subject Leader of Religious Education – North East Sheffield – Permanent or Temp-to-Perm – September Start

Academics, a specialist teaching agency, is working on behalf of a Sheffield secondary school to find an inspiring Subject Leader of Religious Education for a permanent or temp-to-perm role starting in September.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate leader to join a dedicated Humanities department. You will have the ability to inspire and motivate students, helping them develop into aspirational, informed, and compassionate global citizens with a deeper understanding of the world around them.

The Humanities faculty prides itself on collaboration and support, with teachers sharing strategies and resources to deliver outstanding lessons. As Subject Leader of Religious Education, you will play a key role in shaping the curriculum and leading a team that is committed to improving student outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT or an experienced teacher looking to make a difference in the lives of young people. You will join a friendly and supportive team that strives to ensure all students enjoy learning and exceed expectations. The Role

  1. Position: Subject Leader of Religious Education
  2. Start Date: September
  3. Contract: Permanent or temp-to-perm
  4. Location: North East Sheffield – work in a welcoming and supportive school.
  5. Pay: £150 - £230 per day (temp-to-perm) or appropriate pay scale for permanent roles.

What We're Looking For

  1. A qualified Religious Education Teacher (QTS or equivalent).
  2. Experience leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  3. A passion for Religious Education and the ability to engage and inspire students.
  4. A commitment to education and training excellence.
  5. Strong leadership and communication skills.
  6. A valid enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one – we can support with your application.
