It's essential you have experience in food product development and NPD project management, ideally within dairy, desserts or frozen.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys firsthand product development, thrives on collaboration, and can balance creativity with attention to detail. Equally important, you must be comfortable with detailed specification writing, as this is a crucial part of the role.

What You Will Be Doing

  1. Lead NPD & EPD projects from concept to launch, ensuring they align with our sustainability commitments.
  2. Develop, test and refine recipes, maintaining our high-quality standards and brand values.
  3. Work closely with production and procurement teams to source the best ingredients and materials.
  4. Conduct sensory evaluations and oversee product trials in the kitchen, pilot, and factory stages.
  5. Keep up with relevant market trends and consumer insights to ensure our products drive innovation and continue to meet consumer expectations.

Technical & Compliance – Attention to Detail is Key

  1. Write, manage, and maintain detailed product specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  2. Work with customer portals to ensure seamless product data management.
  3. Ensure all artwork and labelling meet food safety and regulatory requirements.
  4. Collaborate with our technical team to maintain product integrity.
  5. Format on-site labels for factory use and update line forms for new and amended products.
  6. Stay updated on regulatory changes, advising the business as needed.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  2. Collaborative – Able to work across multiple departments with diplomacy yet remain assertive when necessary.
  3. Hands-On & Practical – Comfortable with both kitchen trials and factory-scale production.
  4. Influential – Skilled at bringing teams together to make projects happen.
  5. Proactive & Driven – You don't wait for instructions; you make things happen.
