SUITABLE CANDIDATE

You enjoy analyzing concrete problems, finding solutions, and then setting them up. Getting involved in significant industrial and engineering projects involving very demanding precautions regarding industrial safety captivates you. Your good analytical skills, sense of logic, aptitude for synthesizing, and your scientific knowledge will allow you to adapt quickly to multi-system environments. You have the ability to adapt to new technical problems and know how to manage a small-sized team. You like the idea of working on Projects, and Quality matters to you. You are a good team player.

THE ROLE

As an HVAC Engineer, you will be in charge of the following activities:

  • Technically overseeing the HPC HVAC equipment contract (HK2721), with a specific focus on the equipment follow-up, in close collaboration with layout and HVAC system teams, the contractor, as well as our client.
  • Carrying out the surveillance of detailed studies provided by the Contractor and associated HVAC manufacturing equipment like fans, motors, filters, and water coils (surveillance of drawings, procurement specifications, manufacturing, maintenance, assembly, and testing procedures).
  • Carrying out the surveillance of detailed studies provided by the Contractor relating to fire-rated equipment (BS1366).
  • Serving as the representative of the Responsible Designer HVAC contract team in various meetings with the client and the supplier.
  • Reporting on the progress of equipment technical open points during fortnightly dedicated meetings with the contractor and our client.
  • Coordinating and conducting technical assessments of the Contractor requests such as Non-Conformance Reports, Exemption Requests, and Technical Queries.
  • Managing the processing of modifications, including monitoring progress, using performance indicators, and generating reports when needed.
  • Updating the HVAC database and managing CTS (Change Transfer Sheet) issues to the client according to the schedule.

During the first months, you can count on the KURY Team to assist you all along your projects. This experience will give you the opportunity to move on to other projects in the medium term: you will tackle varied but complementary projects, studies, and technical topics. Your understanding of the technical and environmental challenges will allow you to take on complex and critical transversal studies.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge and experience in fire-rated equipment (BS1366).
  • Knowledge of HVAC system and equipment sizing (AHU, fans, filters, water coils).
  • Knowledge of HVAC Pressurized Water Reactor system design principles.
  • Experience working on an EPR project, operating plant, or on an industrial site.
  • Experience in technical, cost, and schedule management of high-value technical contracts.
  • Experience in project configuration management.
  • Ability to effectively manage own and team's workload to meet deadlines and KPI forecasts.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage numerous tasks with other stakeholders.
  • Good communication skills: ability to communicate clearly and accurately, proactive and confident in communicating with others.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Knowledge of nuclear safety classification.
  • Knowledge of UK licensing requirements for a nuclear reactor and their application.
  • French-speaking and reading would be an advantage.
