About the Role:
KUSCO is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Commercial Services Officer to help drive income through events, conferences, and hospitality services. You'll play a key role in organizing and delivering exceptional experiences for internal and external clients—from meetings and conferences to weddings and private events.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Event Coordination: Plan, organize, and oversee events, ensuring all logistics run smoothly.
  2. Client Liaison: Work closely with clients to understand their needs, ensuring high satisfaction.
  3. Contract Management: Support the management of service provider contracts, including bus contractors and fleet maintenance.
  4. Administration: Maintain the administration function of the Conference Office to ensure it is always up to date.
  5. Financial & Performance Reporting: Assist in compiling monthly performance reports and monitoring budgets.
  6. Marketing & New Business Development: Help promote and sell Kingston University's facilities, identifying new revenue opportunities.
  7. Sustainability: Play an active role in sustainability initiatives.

What we need from you:
  1. Financial reporting experience - good standard of numeracy.
  2. Ability to work with little supervision.
  3. Ability to work on their own initiative and be assertive with clients where required.
  4. Ability to deal with clients at all levels.
  5. Multicultural Appreciation.
  6. Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  7. Strong written communication skills, administrative and customer care skills and experience.
  8. Ability to work under pressure.
  9. Good report writing and performance reporting skills.
  10. Ability to adapt working practices to suit client requirements.
  11. Previous experience of working cooperatively with others in a team.
  12. High standard of spoken and written English.
  13. Ability to balance competing work demands and priorities.
  14. Ability to generate creative ideas and approaches.
  15. Ability to travel between various campuses and sites.
