What we are looking for
Able Healthcare are looking for applicants who are enthusiastic and have a desire to support children and young people who have additional needs.
We are now recruiting for a waking night support worker that is looking to join our friendly team within a supportive company, who will provide opportunities to further develop their skills, by offering a thorough training and development programme.
We are currently looking to expand, and are in the process of developing new services, meaning there is plenty of opportunity for career progression.
Applicants may have experience of working with children who present behavioural challenges, possibly those with additional mental health and wellbeing needs, Autism or ADHD, however this is not essential.
The successful candidate will have an empathetic and understanding nature, and a desire to aid children in achieving their aspirations.
You will have resilience and be able to manage challenging behaviour in a caring and considered manner

Basic Duties are:
To contribute to the provision of a sensitive and therapeutic residential service for the young people which best meets their social, psychological, educational, cultural, physical and health needs
To ensure the care given to the young people reflects the Statement of Purpose
-To ensure the safety of the children and security of building throughout the night.
-To ensure all administrative duties are undertaken
-Undertake activities with young people.
-Clean the home
-Administer medication (after full training)
-Writing reports
-Follow the homes policy and procedure, care planning and risk management for each young person.
-Manage challenging behaviour displayed by young people.
