Join Barclays as an AVP Governance & Control Analyst, where you'll be responsible for managing change projects that help the organization achieve its strategic objectives.

You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, under control, and in compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and procedures.

To be successful as a Governance & Control Analyst, you should have: Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to ensure accuracy and precision in data reporting and analysis.

Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with the CPMO while effectively liaising between stakeholders.

Records and Data Governance: Knowledge of records management and data governance practices to ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Additional highly valued skills include: Technical Proficiency: Experience with data analysis and visualization tools beyond Tableau, such as Excel, Python, or R, to support data-driven decision-making.

Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex datasets and provide actionable insights.

Project Management: Knowledge of agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall.

You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant to success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technological competencies, in addition to job-specific technical skills.

This role will be based in Knutsford.

Purpose of the role To manage change projects that help the organisation achieve its strategic objectives, while ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, in control and in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities Management of change projects within the organisation, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and to the required quality standards.

Development and management of project plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements for change projects.

Communication with stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners, to ensure that they are informed about project progress and that their needs and expectations are being met.

Management of project teams, ensuring that they are properly resourced and that they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver on project objectives.

Management of project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within the agreed budget.

Creation of reports on project progress to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.

Management of project risks, ensuring that risk, assumptions, issues and dependencies are identified, assessed, and mitigated as necessary.

Facilitation of change management activities, including training and communication, to ensure that change projects are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.

Assistant Vice President Expectations To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.

Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions.

Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function.

Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.

Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.

Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.

Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.

Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.

Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively.

Communicate complex information.

'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.

Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
