On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Content Designer for a 6 Month (Inside IR35) contract based in Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield or Newcastle (3 days per week on site).

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. Working with DWP, you will be helping us to drive our priorities to:
* Help people to move into work and support those already in work to progress, with the aim of increasing overall workforce participation

* Provide effective, efficient, and innovative services to the millions of claimants who rely on us every day, including the most vulnerable in society
* Improve experience of our services while maximising value for money for the taxpayer.
As a Content Designer, your main responsibilities will be:
* Design and deliver user-centered content using evidence and research findings.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary agile team.
* Contribute to discovery activities and test-and-learn approaches.
* Develop content structures and information architecture that improve user journeys.
* Create, iterate and refine content based on user feedback and performance data.
* Apply content design best practices and design system standards.
* Support the continuous improvement of digital services through iterative design.
Essential:
* Evidence-based design and content decision-making.
* Designing collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Content management and information architecture.
* Iterative design, using user feedback and research insights to improve content.
* Experience working within a government department or a similarly complex organisation and knowledge/experience of GDS
