Join the UK's Most Awarded Vape Retailer Ecigone is one of the UK's top vape websites.Check below to see if you have what is needed for this opportunity, and if so, make an application asap.We've grown exponentially over the past 18 months and we're not slowing down.We're a small, tight-knit team of developers, designers and content creators who actually like working together.No corporate nonsense.No endless meetings.Just a focused group doing great work and growing the business the smart way.We need an SEO Executive who can hit the ground running.Someone with genuine ecommerce experience, a proven track record of rankings that stick, and the drive to help us make 2026 even bigger than 2025.This is a fully remote role.You'll work directly alongside Shane, our Marketing Director and company owner, who knows the vaping industry inside out.You'll have real input into strategy, not just tick boxes on someone else's spreadsheet.We're looking for someone who wants to make a difference.Someone who shows initiative, can write content when needed, optimise pages, and plan campaigns.We don't run on hierarchy.We work as a team, and that's exactly why we've achieved so much with so few people.If you want ownership of your work and a seat at the table, keep reading.Duties & Responsibilities Keyword Research & Strategy Conduct keyword research to identify high-value search terms across product categories, collections, and informational content Analyse competitor rankings and identify gaps and opportunities Map keywords to pages and plan content around search intent On-Page Optimisation Write and optimise meta titles, meta descriptions, and headings across thousands of product and collection pages Optimise product descriptions, collection pages, and blog content for target keywords Build and maintain internal linking structures to improve crawlability and distribute ranking power Ensure all content follows SEO best practices while staying on-brand Content Creation Write SEO-optimised content including collection pages, buying guides, FAQs, and blog posts when needed Create content briefs for any outsourced writers Update and refresh existing content to maintain rankings Technical SEO Run regular site audits using tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, or SEMrush to identify and fix issues Monitor and resolve crawl errors, broken links, duplicate content, and redirect chains in Google Search Console Work with our development team to address page speed, mobile performance, and site structure issues Implement and maintain schema markup where appropriate Link Building & Outreach Plan and execute link building campaigns including guest posting and digital PR Identify and secure high-quality backlinks from relevant websites Monitor backlink profile health and disavow toxic links when necessary Reporting & Analysis Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, and conversions using Google Analytics and Search Console Produce regular performance reports and present findings to the team Identify underperforming pages and recommend improvements Monitor algorithm updates and adjust strategy accordingly Collaboration Work directly with our Marketing Director on SEO strategy and priorities Collaborate with developers on technical fixes and site improvements Coordinate with the wider team on product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns Requirements & Experience Essential Ideally 5 years proven SEO experience, though we're open to candidates with less experience if you can demonstrate strong results Demonstrable track record of improving organic xwwtmva rankings and traffic Hands-on experience with Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms Proficient with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console Strong content writing skills with the ability to write optimised copy that sounds human, not robotic Experience with on-page optimisation, technical SEO, and link building UK-based and available to work UK hours Desirable Experience in the vaping, tobacco alternatives, or regulated product industries Understanding of age-restricted product marketing and compliance considerations Previous experience working with high-SKU ecommerce sites (we have thousands of products) The Right Mindset A genuine passion for SEO and staying ahead of algorithm changes and industry trends Self-motivated and able to work independently without constant supervision Willing to learn from others and equally willing to share knowledge with the team Takes initiative and brings ideas to the table rather than waiting to be told what to do Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving team where everyone pulls their weight Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
