Reporting to the Financial Accountant and Senior Credit Controller, this role will take ownership of a designated sales ledger, managing customers on credit terms and ensuring accounts remain within agreed limits. The successful candidate will focus on minimising risk, maximising cash collection, and maintaining strong, professional communication with both customers and internal teams.We are looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative finance environment, brings strong relationship-building skills, and takes pride in their organisational ability. You will demonstrate integrity, tenacity, and confidence when needed, as well as a proactive approach to investigating and resolving queries.Key ResponsibilitiesProactively chase outstanding debts and make regular credit control callsMonitor and manage customer credit limitsSet up new customer accounts and complete credit checksBuild and maintain strong relationships with customersEnsure aged debt is kept to a minimum across all assigned accountsReconcile customer accounts and resolve queries efficientlyAchieve credit control targets as agreed with the Financial AccountantContribute to a positive team culture, supporting a high-performance environmentCandidate Profile xwwtmva Proven experience in a credit control roleStrong communication skills with the ability to engage at all levelsHighly organised with excellent attention to detailConfident using Excel and handling financial informationProfessional, friendly telephone manner and high customer service standardsFlexible and adaptable within a fast-paced, evolving environmentExperience within an SME or similar background is advantageousInterested to find out more?
