You can make a real difference to families and children and be an active part in delivering the service Bradford families should receive.Are you the right applicant for this opportunity Find out by reading through the role overview below.We are fully committed to equal opportunities and we welcome applications from all backgrounds.About the RoleBradford children and families trust are part of a long-established teaching partnership including Adult social care, Bradford college and Bradford University; the Student Programme Lead will work closely with partners and other HEIs such as Leeds Beckett university and Salford university to oversee the provision of high quality student placements across the trust.The exciting and varied role sits with the learning development and quality assurance service and fits within the plans for overall development and retention of the workforce.Our strategic vision and values are upheld across the Trust, fostering a reliable and supportive environment for both staff and the children in our care.Our approach is rooted in restorative and relational practice, fostering trust, mutual respect, and meaningful relationships with children, families, and professionals.You’ll also:Working in the teaching partnership to identify and place social work students within the trustTraining and supporting practice educators across the trust including with failing students when necessarySupporting the partnership with training and conferences for student and practice educatorsRecruitment and selection of students on specialist programmes such as Step up and the social work apprenticeshipMaintaining and quality assuring the practice educator and student databases to ensure efficient financial forecasting and management.To be successful in this role you will need: Comprehensive knowledge of social work practice and legislation, including safeguarding.Experience of supporting the learning and development of others practitioners to improve practice and have a positive impact on outcomes of service users including the development of students, newly qualified social workers and other practitioners.Hold Full Practice Educator qualification at Stage two.You must be organised, efficient and able to work on your own initiative as well as within tight time schedulesRecognised Social Work Qualification with demonstrable experience post qualification with experience as a Social Worker.Registration with Social Work England.Advanced IT skills – Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel are required as well as excellent time management and multi-tasking skillsYou must be able to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required by the needs of the service.You must be able to perform all duties and tasks with reasonable adjustment, where appropriate, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 in relation to Disability Provisions.Valid, full driving licence with car available (unless a disability prevents this).You’ll also be joining an organisation that truly values its people, offering a range of benefits designed to support your wellbeing, growth, and work-life balance, including:Enhanced annual leave entitlement: 31 days rising to 34 with service (plus bank holidays)Excellent local Government pensionCompetitive salary and pay progression structureSupportive carer and parental policiesEnhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leaveAccess to Occupational Health and confidential counselling servicesSupportive staff networksAccess to Blue Light Card discounts, including cost of living supportProfessional development/support and opportunities career progressionBradford Children and Families Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all employees to share this commitment.
