We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety graduate to join our business. This varied role will provide you with an opportunity to get involved in all aspects of Health & Safety within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Responsibilities As part of the Health & Safety team, you will work as part of a dedicated, driven and supportive team. As your skills and knowledge develop over time, you will get involved in all aspects of health & safety within the business and your responsibility will increase. Some of your responsibilities will include: Assistance in undertaking H&S audits and inspections on site; Monitoring and reviewing protective and preventative measures on site whilst supporting the planning and implementation of these measures; Conducting Risk Assessment and Safe Working Practices (SWPs) with support from the Health & Safety Manager and consider how risks can be reduced effectively ; Working alongside and supporting production in rolling out SWPs and SOP’s; A proactive approach to H&S with the goal of reducing accidents / near misses by assisting in activities including writing and roll out of team briefs and Task Observation Behavioural Evaluation Reports; General H&S reporting and raising awareness - liaising with Department Managers; Assist with H&S investigations and the collation of information; Conduct low/medium level H&S investigations; Assist with the organization of site training i.e. accident investigation, manual handing; Assisting in the development of the H&S Management System as well assisting Departments by use of Continuous Improvement tools; Completion of COSHH assessments and chemical handling/storage requirements; Support the required Occupational Health programmes in place by the Company; Monitor and maintain site H&S KPI targets; To work with a continuous improvement mindset; Maintain and attend courses to develop, maintain and acquire knowledge to maintain your CPD.
