We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.Salary: Up to £46,400 dependent on skills and experienceWhat You’ll Be DoingManaging supplier performance to ensure delivery of agreed milestones to cost, quality and scheduleProactively identifying supplier risk, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvementsInvestigating and resolving claims for delay or poor performanceLeading contract change negotiations with suppliersUndertaking robust financial management of procurement contracts, including cost savings, cost avoidance, completion estimates and ongoing cost analysisSupporting cross functional project activities – e.g. suppliers, business & cost account reviews, business reporting & KPI monitoringUsing the ERM system to manage Purchase Orders and other deliverablesEssentialYour skills and experiences:Professional knowledge and understanding of procurement principles, techniques, and practicesProven experience and expertise in contract management within a supply chain environment, preferably within a similar industryProficiency in managing financial spend and budget controlEffective negotiation and influencing skills when engaging with internal and external stakeholders at various levelsAbility to work under own initiative and prioritise workload as appropriateAble to work well under pressure and meet required deadlinesDesirableAwareness of the legal environment related to purchasing contracts and framework agreementsExperience using procurement ERP systems e.g. SAPCIPS qualified or working towards CIPSBenefitsAs well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.The Supply Chain TeamJoin our dynamic Supply Chain team at BAE Systems, where you’ll play a key role in managing procurement packs and subcontracts for the build and delivery phase of the highly complex Type 26 Shipbuilding programme within your designated Procurement Category.In this role, you’ll be responsible for supplier relationship management and collaborating closely with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to ensure the timely delivery of equipment and materials while optimising contract performance.Why BAE Systems?This is a place where you’ll be able to make a real difference.
