Bridgwater
£13.77 per hour | Sunday to Thursday | 10pm-6am | 40 hours per week
We are recruiting a Transport Clerk to join a busy and fast-paced transport operation in Bridgwater. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with transport administration experience who is organised, confident and able to work under pressure. Full time temp to perm.
The Role
Working within the Traffic Office, you will provide administrative and operational support to the Transport Team, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the transport operation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out day-to-day Traffic Office and transport administration
- Handling incoming and outgoing calls professionally
- Completing driver pre-briefs and de-briefs
- Completing daily transport reports accurately and on time
- Supporting compliance with drivers' hours, tachograph and Operator Licence requirements
- Supporting the Transport Supervisor and wider transport team
- Following company procedures, health & safety requirements and statutory regulations
- Communicating effectively with drivers, colleagues, management and external suppliers
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Organised and methodical with excellent attention to detail
- PC literate with good administrative skills
- Able to prioritise workload and work under pressure
- Proactive, flexible and able to use their own initiative
- Experienced within a transport or logistics environment - desirable
- Knowledgeable about UK transport operations and drivers' hours - advantageous
Transport administration experience is highly desirable, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. xwwtmva
