Salary £24,310 per annum |12.5 hours per week | Permanent, Part time | St Mary's Catholic Primary School | Preston, LancashireCatering Assistant St Mary LeaLancashire County Council provide catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving over 60,000 school meals per day and we are looking for committed individuals to join the service.You will work as part of a team at St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Darkinson Lane, Lea PR4 0RJ providing high quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children. Key responsibilities:Prepare the dining area for service, including the moving and setting up of furniture and putting away.Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages.Clean all equipment and catering areas.What we are looking for:Ability to work as part of a teamAbility to work under pressure and use own initiativeGood customer care skillsPrevious catering and food preparation experience would be desirableWorking Hours:Monday - FridayTerm time only12.5 hours per week, although hours are variable depending upon school meal uptake.Plus 4 cleaning days per year. (Done outside term timeThis position is part time and term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent, the salary received will be paid on a pro – rata basis.The post you are applying for is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013).
