The SEN child has an educational, health and care plan (EHCP) that details specific targets, outcomes and strategies for the child. The SEN Teaching Assistant role demands a dedicated and caring individual who will be patient and take time to understand the specific needs of the SEN child. They are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who is charismatic, empathetic and demonstrates a genuine desire to make a positive impact to children with SEN. Previous experience with working with children with Autism is admirable for this SEN Teaching Assistant position. This is a tremendous opportunity for obtaining experience within the Special Needs and Mental Health sector as you will have the chance in your role as an SEN Teaching Assistant to observe, work-alongside and collaborate with speech and language therapists, educational psychologists, occupational therapists and teachers with SEN specialisms. * SEN Teaching Assistant * Previous experience working with Special Needs desired * ASAP Start * Swindon * Full-Time 8:30am – 3:30pm * £80 - £95 per day The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will need to be fully committed to the child on a long-term basis. The SEN Teaching Assistant will be working extremely closely with the class teacher and SENCO, therefore being provided with specialist and expert support and training that will be vital for your personal development.
