Location : Peterborough

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a £30m earthworks programme near to Peterborough. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining the project at the early stages, working closely with the design partner in finalising the design, developing the programme of construction works and overseeing the main works throughout late 2024 and 2025. This would be a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor keen to put their own stamp on an exciting project whilst working for a rewarding employer with a growing pipeline of work across the country.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, some of your main responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the Project Managers, sharing responsibility for the projects profitability and developing a commercial strategy for the project
  • Provide accurate forecasts of project costs to completion and final values
  • Monitor project related costs against the budget
  • Ensure all communications between the clients, subcontractors and stakeholders are managed in a timely fashion
  • Ensure contract variations are identified, valued and converted into agreed variation orders with the client
  • Manage the subcontractor tender process
  • Manage subcontractor accounts across the project

Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have experience working on civil engineering or infrastructure sectors and a sound understanding of the NEC suite of contracts. You'll also need excellent communication skills, be driven and confident when working with colleagues, clients and the wider site team.
