As the DT / Engineering-specialist teacher you will: Deliver Design & Technology (and associated engineering/technical) lessons across Key Stage 3, and/or GCSE-level D&T (depending on timetable and qualifications) Plan, deliver and mark lessons, assessments and practical coursework — helping students to build skills in design thinking, materials, tools/techniques, problem-solving and technical understanding Work with the department to maintain a rich, well-resourced workshop or Design & Technology facilities (or support their ongoing development) Contribute to broader department planning, support student progress, and collaborate with colleagues to foster a consistent, high-quality learning experience They’re looking for a teacher who: Has UK QTS and specialises (or has strong technical competence) in Engineering / Design & Technology Can teach across KS3 and KS4, adapting learning for mixed-ability classes, combining theory and hands-on practical work Is organised, reliable, and comfortable planning and delivering technical, practical lessons as well as marking written work Believes in the school’s values — community, equity and ambition — and is committed to supporting all students to reach their potential Is ready to work collaboratively within a supportive department and wider school community Why work through Protocol Education?
