Job DescriptionAssociate Director Civil Structural Engineering Location: Manchester Summary One of the world's most respected design, engineering, and project management consultancies, playing a leading role in some of the world's most challenging and exciting engineering projects across sectors including Defence, Energy, Cities & Development and Water are looking to hire an Associate Director in Civil Structural Engineering to join their Manchester office. As an Associate Director you'll play a vital role in every aspect of business development and heavy civil engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad. You will also:- Own and direct teams who undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels. - Defining briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals. - Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes. - Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions. - Setting quality assurance standards in design. - Grow, develop and manage heavy civil engineering capability within the practice. To be suitable for this Associate Director role you will - Have a minimum of 10 years' experience in design and project delivery. - Have Comprehensive knowledge in design and analysis of heavy civil engineering structures, including reinforced concrete and/or steel with experience across all design phases and construction. Familiarity with current design standards and working practices (British Standards and possibly American codes). - Be a Chartered Civil / Structural Engineer with ICE or IStructE - Have experience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design. - Have am entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow a team and business Salary: Between £75,000 - £85,000 dependant on experience plus package including - Private Medical - 25 days holiday plus bank holidays - Flexible working arrangements - Pension Scheme - Bonus scheme
