Flexsource NI are currently recruiting a Technical Support Officer on a temporary full time basis, paying £18.85 per hour.Responsibilities: With a full job description available upon request, you will: · Help deliver essential Port Health checks that protect public and animal health · Respond to enquiries and process key import documentation · Carry out identity, manifest and documentary checks on incoming goods · Support Environmental Health Officers during inspections and sampling · Oversee the safe release, routing or disposal of consignments · Manage transhipment processes and verify compliance paperwork · Keep accurate digital records using systems like PHILIS, TRACES and IPAFFS · Work closely with importers, agents, DAERA and other port partners · Board vessels to review sanitation paperwork and collect water samples · Maintain high health & safety standards and support wider City Protection services Requirements: · Full, current driving licence (valid in NI) and access to suitable transport. · Third-level qualification in a relevant field (e.g., food science, food technology, logistics, business, quality management). · Knowledge of food safety, food standards and relevant legislation. · Strong communication, customer care and report-writing skills. · Effective IT skills, including use of word processing, spreadsheets and databases. · Ability to plan and organise own work, and work effectively as part of a team The successful postholder will be required to work 12 hour shifts, following a pattern of 2 weeks on days and 2 weeks on nights.
