Upper Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant – Liverpool Start Date: November 2026 Contract: Temporary Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Location: Primary School in North LiverpoolHays Education is proud to be working in partnership with a weing primary school in the north Liverpool area to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support across Year 5 and Year 6. The RoleWe are looking for amitted General Teaching Assistant to join the Upper Key Stage 2 team. You will play a vital role in supporting both the class teacher and pupils, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist in delivering engaging and effective lessons.Provide targeted support to pupils, including those with special educational needs (SEN).Help with classroom organisation and preparation of learning materials.Collaborate with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).Support pupils’ emotional development and promote independence.Help Year 5 pupils transition smoothly into Year 6 and prepare for SATs. What We’re Looking ForLevel 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential).Experience working with children in an educational setting.A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learning.Knowledge of safeguarding practices.Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).Full right to work in the UK.
