Job Description New Directions Education is currently recruiting a caring and committed Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming primary school in Prescot. The successful candidate will support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), helping to provide a nurturing and stimulating start to their education. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner who is passionate about early childhood development and making a real difference in young children’s lives. The Role Support teaching and learning in the Early Years classroom, working closely with the class teacher. Deliver targeted support for individuals and small groups, particularly in phonics and early literacy. Contribute to planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning activities. Assist with observation and assessment of children’s progress in line with the EYFS framework. Provide emotional and social support to pupils, ensuring their wellbeing and safety. The Ideal Candidate Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (essential). Experience delivering phonics interventions or supporting early reading (essential). A First Aid qualification (desirable). Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide recent employment references.
