Autism Teaching Assistant (ASC TA) – Full Time Location: Sunderland Contract: Full time, long term Start: ASAP Pay: £89 to £110 per day (PAYE)If you’re calm, consistent, and passionate about supporting autistic young people, this role will suit you beautifully. You’ll be joining a specialist school that values structure, kindness, and staff who stick by pupils when they need it most.Your role will include: 1:1 and small-group ASC support Helping pupils manage sensory needs and transitions Using communication aids such as PECS and visuals Working closely with therapists and SEND staff Creating a predictable, positive environment You’ll be perfect if you: Have experience with autistic children or young adults Stay cool during tricky moments Bring empathy and patience to every interaction Want to learn more about specialist SEND strategies With Protocol you get: Weekly PAYE pay Free CPD including Autism modules A supportive local consultant Long-term placements and career progression If you love helping pupils feel safe and understood, send in your application.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
