As the project moves into a major new phase of delivery, the finance function is expanding rapidly - creating a brand-new opportunity for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join a high-performing team at the centre of this important long-term programme.This is a hands-on technical finance role focused on preparing financial statements, consolidations, and high-quality reporting within a fast-growing, complex environment. You'll work closely with senior finance leaders, contribute to robust internal and external reporting, and support the development of best-in-class finance processes across the programme.📊 About the RolePrepare accurate, timely consolidated reporting and financial statements across the project. * Produce forecast financial statements and consolidated views to support strategic decision-making. * Reconcile high-risk balance sheet accounts, resolve reconciling items, and improve the auditability and clarity of schedules. * Deliver shareholder reporting and adapt outputs as the stakeholder landscape evolves. * Document and maintain finance processes, policies, and internal controls. * Test and strengthen internal controls to ensure assurance and compliance across reporting activities. * Support automation and wider finance transformation projects, helping build efficient systems and tools. * Assist in preparing interim and annual statutory accounts and help facilitate a smooth audit process. * Uphold strong internal control and assurance processes around consolidation and hedge accounting.📋 About You2-3 years' experience preparing financial statements - hands-on, not reviewing. * Practical, hands-on consolidation experience - doesn't need to be highly complex, but you must have done the work yourself. * Experience gained in an industry environment, preparing financial statements and consolidations directly (as opposed to reviewing in practice). * Practice-only backgrounds are not suitable for this position. * Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) - full study support provided. * Solid knowledge of IFRS and strong technical accounting foundations. * Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with detailed financial data. * Detail-focused, collaborative, and comfortable working in a project-driven, evolving environment.🤝 What's on Offer£50,000-£55,000 base salary. * Full study support for ACCA/ACA/CIMA. * Hybrid working - 3 days a week in the Central London office. * Join a finance team that has expanded significantly as the programme has scaled, creating strong opportunities for progression as the next phases roll out. * The chance to build strong technical reporting expertise on a major, long-term energy programme where your work directly supports delivery and decision-making. * Long-term stability and development within a programme expected to grow for many years.💼 Why Join This BusinessThis is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing finance function at a pivotal moment in the programme.
