Your new role We are looking for a dedicated EYFS teacher to cover maternity leave at a weing two-form entry primary school in Coventry. This full-time role begins in the spring term and continues until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the Reception class, including planning, teaching, and assessment, while working alongside a supportive and collaborative early years team.In this role, you will:Design creative, play-based learning experiences that spark curiosity and joyEstablish a warm, inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued, and motivatedDeliver the EYFS framework with flexibility to meet a wide range of developmental needsPromote positive routines and behaviour that encourage independence and respectWork closely with colleagues and parents to support each child’s progressCelebrate milestones and nurture every child’s social, emotional, and academic growthWhat you'll need to succeed Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with recent EYFS experience, ideally in ReceptionStrong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and effective planning/assessment strategiesA caring, creative teaching style with excellent classroom management skillsClearmunication skills and a collaborative approach to teamworkAvailability to start in January and remain until the end of the academic yearWhat you'll get in return Access to professional development opportunities and early years resourcesStreamlined systems to help manage workload and wellbeingOngoing guidance and support from your dedicated Hays consultantA £250 reward for every qualified teacher you refer to us
