With a large proportion of repeat business and long-standing client relationships, they operate across a mix of sectors, including retail (notably supermarkets), and public sector frameworks, with circa 15% of work involving MOD and MOJ projects.With a young and driven team, they foster a collaborative and energetic working environment, encouraging ownership, development, and innovation.The RoleDue to continued growth and upcoming project opportunities, our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a QS looking to take ownership of varied projects and contribute to a close-knit and ambitious team.You will work closely with the Commercial Manager and liaise with the Bid Director (who leads the estimating function) to support the successful delivery of tenders and projects.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all commercial aspects of assigned refurbishment and fast-track projects Support cost planning, budgeting, and tendering processes Liaise with the Bid Director on tenders and ensure accurate cost evaluations Prepare and review contracts, subcontracts, and procurement documentation Carry out valuations, variations, and final accounts Monitor project performance against budgets and provide regular reporting Ensure compliance with commercial and contractual obligations Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering Key Projects Fast-track refurbishments across retail and commercial sectors Framework and repeat business with MOD and MOJ clients Supermarket refurbishments and fit-outs Selectively tendered projects with a focus on quality over volume Candidate Profile 5+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a main contractor environment Experience in refurbishment and/or fast-track projects preferred Understanding of public sector procurement (MOD/MOJ) beneficial Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workload Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and negotiation skills Why Join?
