Transmission Cable Engineer (Up to 400kV) The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Transmission Cable Engineer to join our team. This role involves working on high-voltage cable projects up to 400kV, including both subsea and land-based installations. You will play a key role in ensuring the technical integrity and compliance of our transmission infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Lead and support transmission-level cable projects, including document review, factory acceptance testing, installation, and commissioning. Provide technical assessments and critical evaluations of engineering solutions, ensuring optimal outcomes. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation including Construction Design Management (CDM) and Electricity Safety, Quality and Continuity Regulations (ESQCR). Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve critical technical issues. Communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating diligence and the ability to prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment. About You Proven experience in high-voltage cable projects (ideally up to 400kV), including subsea and land cable systems. Strong understanding of transmission network management and associated regulatory frameworks. Problem-solving mindset with the confidence to challenge and drive resolution of technical matters. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline. Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards professional accreditation with a relevant institution is highly desirable. Why Join Us?
