About the role SEMH Tutor (Full time/Part time, Temporary Opportunities Available)Ellesmere Port£30 p/hJanuary 2026 startA local authority team is seeking an experienced and passionate SEMH Tutor to support students facing social and emotional challenges in the Ellesmere Port area. You will provide a very supportive learning experience whilst teaching core subjects of Maths and English but tailoring lessons to the individual needs of the students who have social, emotional and mental health needs and who require extra support to carry out their work.Teaching will typically take place in community settings such as libraries, homes, or community centres. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about making a difference and wants flexible hours that fit around their schedule.The desired SEMH Tutor will have: A teaching qualification with the ability to teach Maths and English.Experience supporting children or young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.Ability to create a calm and structed environment. Flexibility to travel to different teaching locations (home, library, community centre) and demonstrate a reliable, professional manner. As an SEMH Tutor, part of our team, you benefit from: Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
