Job Description Faststream are working with a major subsea energy business to add a Principal/Senior level Pipeline Engineer to their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, analysis, and installation of rigid subsea pipelines for major offshore projects., and will have significant experience in pipeline engineering, particularly with rigid pipelines. This is a hybrid role based out of Aberdeen.

The client are open to candidates looking for both permanent and contract opportunities. 

Responsibilities:
  • Lead rigid subsea pipeline design, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and legislative requirements.
  • Perform pipeline analysis using tools like Abaqus , DNV tools, and spreadsheets for FEA and design validation.
  • Deliver high-quality engineering outputs including design reports, calculations, and technical documentation.
  • Support tendering and project teams by providing engineering expertise and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing, while ensuring safety and legislative compliance throughout projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Offshore Engineering
  • Strong experience in subsea pipeline design, with expertise in Abaqus and industry standards
  • Strong knowledge of pipeline engineering practices, including in-place analysis and FEA for subsea pipelines. 
Must have right to work in the UK.
