Description Associate Director River Engineering Peterborough Are you ready to take up a vital role in shaping some exciting projects? My Client specialises in all aspects of River Engineering, within multiple challenging and engaging sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy and Cities & Development. They continue to provide industry-leading river engineering and flood defence solutions right through the project lifecycle, with value added through client-side support as well as construction phases. Bringing your skills to the mix as an Associate Director in River Engineering, you'll play a vital role in every aspect of river engineering and flood defence on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad. You will own and direct teams who undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels. As well as defining briefs, scopes of work and input into bid proposals, you will work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions. As a Chartered or near Chartered Engineer with a relevant body, you will have experience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design and have a comprehensive knowledge in design such as flood walls and embankments, weirs, hydraulic structures, culverts, scour protection, access and accessibility, and construction logistics. Demonstrating a familiarity with current UK design standards, guidance and working practices, you will be proficient in delivering both traditional engineering and environmentally focused solutions using nature-based strategies. They support flexible working arrangements and are interested to discuss how we can accommodate individual requirements, where there is no fixed 9 'till 5, no need for a 5-day week, no requirement for a full-time contract, and no requirement to spend all your working time in the office. They offer a competitive salary that is regularly tested against other consultants with a default 25-days leave each year plus bank holidays and options to buy some or sell of that leave.
