The Role:We are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers to join our client’s transport team in Carlisle. You’ll be responsible for the safe delivery and collection of goods to and from farms and depots across the region. This is a curtain-sider or kit work position with minimal handballing involved. You’ll be expected to manoeuvre vehicles safely in tight areas and represent the business in a professional manner at all times. Key Responsibilities: Carry out deliveries and collections using Class 1 or Class 2 vehicles Ensure all goods are handled and transported safely Complete daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate paperwork Work efficiently to meet delivery schedules Maintain a high level of attention to detail due to the nature of the work Requirements: Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) licence held for at least 6 months Minimum 6 months of recent driving experience Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards No more than 6 penalty points (SP offences only) Confident operating in tight farm or rural environments Good level of spoken and written English for paperwork and communication Flexible approach to working days, including weekends What We Offer: Competitive hourly pay with overtime after 48 hours Weekly pay Consistent work with a well-established haulier Support from Igloo’s recruitment and payroll teams Free onsite parking Commutable from: Penrith, Gretna, Annan, Dumfries, Wigton, Keswick, Workington, Whitehaven, Lockerbie.
