Key Responsibilities As a Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development of cutting-edge web applications.
- UI Kit Development: Develop and maintain UI Kits to ensure a consistent look and feel across our applications.
- Conversational AI Interfaces: Create and enhance conversational AI interfaces for various projects, improving our AI capabilities and user interactions.
- Design System Development: Contribute to the development and maintenance of comprehensive design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across all products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design principles and best practices to drive the adoption of design systems throughout the organization.
- Leading or significantly contributing to medium-to-large feature releases; sometimes multi-person projects that cross team boundaries.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable serverless and performant web applications using frameworks like Next.js.
- Ensuring code quality by writing clean, well-structured, and maintainable code with a focus on performance, security, and best practices.
- Troubleshooting and debugging issues to provide technical support and guidance to the team.
- Leveraging AWS services such as CloudFront, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and S3 to build efficient, cost-effective, and scalable solutions.
- Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define, design, and implement new features and enhancements.
- Developing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party services.
- Staying up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve our products and development processes.
- Conversational AI Development: Proven track record in developing Conversational AI interfaces that can be utilised across all of Software Engineering.
- Shared Component Library: Experience in contributing to and building a shared component library for consistency, reusability, and efficiency.
- Front-End Technologies: Expertise in modern front-end technologies, specifically JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular and Web Components to develop robust, scalable, and maintainable user interfaces.
- Iterative Product Delivery: History of delivering products iteratively, aligning with agile development practices for continuous improvement and timely feature delivery.
- Coaching and Mentoring: Strong mentoring and coaching abilities to support the professional growth of junior engineers and improve the overall engineering team.
- Design Collaboration: Design experience to work closely with product designers, ensuring our products are functional, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing.
- Accessibility Standards: Experience in building applications that meet high accessibility standards, ensuring inclusivity and usability for all individuals.
- Proven hands-on experience of software engineering practices.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and related front-end technologies
- Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for learning and staying updated with evolving technologies.
- Agile working practices
- Beneficial to have working development knowledge of AWS serverless
