Independent Fostering Reviewing Officer, WiganPay rate to up to £40 per hour Contract role Vitalis are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to work as an Independent Reviewing Officer to work in a Fostering team in Wigan Council.The Independent Fostering Reviewing Officer will ensure that the Local Authority fulfils its statutory responsibility to undertake a review of the approved foster carers.The Independent Fostering Reviewing Officer will:You will have responsibility for the process of reviewing Wigan Children’s Services approved foster carers by organising, advising, and chairing the statutory reviews of foster carersYou will provide advice to foster carers and practitioners and hold a scrutiny and challenge role for ensuring effective assessment, CPD/ training, support and supervision, statutory visiting and achieving positive outcomes for children in their care.Don’t forget, if this role isn’t the perfect fit, we’re confident we can find one that is.
