Learning Support Assistant – SEMH – Weston-super-Mare Start Date: ASAP £500 per week Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 Are you experienced in supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? This could be the ideal role for you. Academics are working with a unique and nurturing specialist school based in the beautiful village of Uphill near Weston-super-Mare. The school caters for learners aged 4 to 18 who experience barriers to learning, including SEMH, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and communication difficulties. This is a school that truly celebrates its learners' achievements and wellbeing. The setting promotes self-confidence, belonging, and personal development within a learner-centred environment that goes beyond the National Curriculum. About the role: * Support students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis * Promote emotional regulation, social development, and engagement in learning * Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and external professionals to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful school culture * Position available ASAP, with a commitment through to the end of the academic year (July 2025).
