Responsible to: CYP Team LeadWork location: Exeter and surrounding areasAre you committed to supporting young people affected by domestic abuse and making a real difference in your community?We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Young Persons Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (YPVA), or someone who would be willing to train on the job, to join our Children and Family Services Team in NDADA, working as part of the Devon Domestic Abuse Alliance (DDAA). You’ll provide frontline, trauma-informed support to young victims of domestic abuse, helping them stay safe, navigate their options, and access the services they need.This role is rooted in multi-agency partnership working and offers flexibility to engage individuals in a way that works for them.Key Responsibilities:Provide tailored, risk-led support to clients experiencing domestic abuseComplete and regularly review risk assessments and safety plansAdvocate for clients in multi-agency settings, including MARACs and Strategy MeetingsOffer advice on housing, legal, financial, and safeguarding mattersSupport clients through the criminal and civil justice systemsMaintain accurate case records using electronic case management systemsWork closely with other DDAA services and partners to ensure coordinated, holistic supportPromote survivor empowerment, recovery, and choice at every stageAbout You:You’ll bring experience supporting vulnerable individuals , strong safeguarding knowledge, and a trauma-informed, person-centred approach.
