Job Title: Social Worker (Children)Location: HaltonWorking Hours: HybridRate: £45.34 per hourJoin Halton’s Children Services as a dynamic Child Protection/Child in Need Social Worker and make a real difference in the lives of children and families Responsibilities: As a Child Protection Social Worker working for Halton, you will provide investigation and management of a child protection caseload, offering a professional response to social problems, family concerns, and mental health issues. You will conduct assessments to ensure the safety and reduce the risk to children in need of protection, including conducting court work and preparing court reports, as well as handling Section 47 enquiries. You will work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to support families, initiate legal proceedings under the Child and Family Services Act when necessary, and place children in alternative care when required. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, participate in ongoing training and development to enhance professional skills, and engage with the community to raise awareness about child protection issues.
