Quality Assurance Reviewing Officer (QARO) Salary up to – £57,867Location: Swindon  We’re currently partnered with a client based in Swindon who are looking for a Quality Assurance Reviewing Officer. About the Role We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Reviewing Officer (QAROs) to join our growing team. Reporting to the Service Manager, you’ll deliver high-quality independent oversight across children in care, child protection, and fostering reviews – ensuring statutory safeguarding requirements are met while driving service improvement. QAROs play a key role in promoting strengths-based practice, supporting professional challenge, and fostering effective multi-agency collaboration. The service champions a child’s right to family life and is central to Swindon’s Family Safeguarding model, which is making a real difference to children and families. When care is needed, QAROs ensure the Local Authority provides the best possible support. Must Have – SWE Regestration– A relentless commitment to quality– Minimum of 5 years post qualifying experience including previous and recent management experience of supervising staff in a Children Social Care setting– Experience of chairing complex meetings when there is conflict and anxiety to manage– Experience of managing complex Child Protection and Cared for Children work where children may be removed from their parents care.– Supervisory and management experience. – Expert knowledge of current and relevant child care legislation, guidance and procedures.
