Job description Key Stage 2 Teacher - January StartLocation: ShrewsburyContract: Full-time, Long-term (with potential to become permanent)Start Date: January 2026We are recruiting an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Shrewsbury. This is a full-time, long-term position starting in January, with full classroom responsibilities including planning, teaching, assessment, and marking.The school has a warm and inclusive ethos, strong leadership, and a committed team that works collaboratively to ensure every pupil thrives. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking for a supportive environment to grow and develop.Responsibilities:Deliver engaging and effective lessons to KS2 pupils in line with the National CurriculumTake full responsibility for planning, preparation, assessment and markingMaintain high expectations for pupils' learning, progress, and behaviourWork closely with colleagues to ensure consistent teaching and learning across the schoolBuild positive relationships with pupils, parents and staffRequirements:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Experience teaching within Key Stage 2Strong classroom management and organisational skillsA passion for inspiring and motivating pupilsEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)What the school/agency can offer:Supportive and welcoming staff teamExcellent CPD and professional development opportunitiesCompetitive pay (MPS/UPS depending on experience)If you are committed, motivated, and ready to make a positive impact in a KS2 classroom, we'd love to hear from you.
