Job Title: Social Worker – Duty and AssessmentLocation: North WalesSalary: £41.12 per hour We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Duty and Assessment team in North Wales. As a Duty and Assessment Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in assessing the needs of individuals and families, ensuring their well-being and safety. You’ll work closely with local authority child care teams, providing timely and thorough assessments. Responsibilities: Conduct assessments of children, adults, and carers to determine their care and support needs. Investigate safeguarding concerns (including Section 47 inquiries) promptly and effectively. Manage cases using relevant systems (e.g., CASP, CP). Collaborate with other professionals, agencies, and stakeholders to develop care plans. Ensure compliance with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014. Uphold the principles of respectful conversations and person-centered care. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and reviews. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Social Worker registered with the Care Council for Wales (CCW). Minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience, including work in fostering or child protection. Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and assessment frameworks. Strong communication, assessment, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
