Outdoor Learning InstructorBangholm Outdoor CentreHours: CasualSalary: £20.34 per hourWe are seeking applications to join our pool of casual Outdoor Learning Instructors supporting delivery of our outdoor programmes in and around Edinburgh. Our programmes include, but are not limited to, Expedition and training provision for the Duke of Edinburgh Award and Epic Adventures; an adventurous activity programme delivered to mainly P5 & 6 pupils at Bonaly Scout Centre and the surrounding area. The posts are in-person instructional posts, not suitable for remote working. Successful candidates will be based in and around Edinburgh or support expeditions across Scotland.The attached job description & person specifications are generic to our wider service; if you have competencies that match the person specification but don't meet all criteria of the attached person specification regarding NGB awards / outdoor qualifications, please contact us at to discuss. This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act . The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check.
