JOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a School Caretaker / Maintenance Site Operative / Porterwith hands on knowledge of DIY and building maintenance. Working as a Caretaker you will provide caretaking, janitorial and portering services to the School and assist with maintenance and security. As a Caretaker your main duties will be preparing all areas of the School for daily activities including routine lessons, assemblies, functions, open days and meetings. DUTIES Your duties as a Caretaker will include: Preparing all areas of the School for daily activities including routine lessons, assemblies, functions, open days, meetings, etc Locking and unlocking all buildings at appropriate times Portering duties including accepting, recording and delivering of goods and mail to relevant recipients Manning reception before and after school in order to receive/despatch post to Royal Mail Assisting with stock control of variety of materials including chemicals Undertaking cleaning duties (particularly cleaning of toilets) as necessary Providing security for the site and at Frizinghall railway station before and after school.
