Estimator - ConstructionLocation: Sheffield (with occasional travel to surrounding sites) Employment Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive + BenefitsAbout the RoleOur client, a construction specialist in both design and build, are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in refurbishment works and new-build commercial projects. You will play a key role in preparing accurate tenders, developing cost plans, and supporting the delivery of successful projects across South Yorkshire and the surrounding regions.Key ResponsibilitiesReview tender documentation including drawings, specifications, and project details.Tender for projects of varying values, from receipt of tender packages through to full bills of quantities.Produce logical, consistent pricing schedules and detailed cost breakdowns.Meet subcontractors on site to source labour, plant, and material rates while negotiating competitive quotations.Attend weekly site meetings and carry out site visits as required.Work closely with project management, site teams, design staff, and procurement to ensure accurate and coordinated tender submissions.Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail while working to tight deadlines.Work primarily from the office in a supportive, collaborative team environment.About YouPrevious experience reviewing tender documentation, drawings, and specifications.Background in refurbishment work and new-build commercial projects.Prior experience of working within refurbishment on NHS / hospital projects would be advantageous.Strong understanding of construction processes and on-site requirements.Proficient with Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Causeway software is advantageous but not essential.Full UK driving licence.Relevant construction industry experience in an estimating or similar role.Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build positive supplier relationships.BenefitsSalary up to £50k dependent on experienceVehicle allowance or company cariPhone (or similar device)Bonus percentage per contract awarded22 days holiday plus bank holidaysPension schemeOne day per week working from home (by mutual agreement)The company is looking to arrange interviews quickly for the right candidate so if you feel you could be well suited, please apply with an updated CV or contact Rich at Linsco for further information.ApplicationsIf you feel that you have the relevant experience to be successful in this position and would like to find out more, please apply online today, attaching a copy of your current CV.Due to the vast number of applications that we receive, it is not possible for us to contact all applicants; therefore, only suitable candidates will be contacted.
