Job Title: Weapons Engineering InstructorLocation: Helensburgh, Argyll & ButeEmployment Type: Full-Time, PermanentSalary: Competitive + Excellent BenefitsWe are seeking an experienced Weapons Engineering Instructor to join a leading defence training organisation, delivering critical training programmes at a major Royal Navy site near Helensburgh.In this role, you will share your expertise in submarine tactical weapons engineering systems, ensuring Royal Navy personnel are fully prepared to safely operate and maintain weapon handling systems across the submarine fleet. Your work will directly contribute to the UK’s defence capability.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver both classroom and simulator-based instruction — primarily focused on Astute Class platformsProvide subject matter expertise to support training design, review, and continuous improvementMaintain training governance through accurate reporting, documentation, and assurance processesAct as a technical contact for stakeholders and training-related queriesUphold safe systems of work and compliance with all relevant standards and proceduresEssential Experience:Strong background in submarine Tactical Weapons EngineeringHands-on experience with weapons handling operationsRequired Qualification:Qualified Weapons System Board – Competent User Level 3 (CU3)Security RequirementsDue to the nature of this role, applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance.
